Woman dies in farm accident near Athlone

A 73-year old woman died today following a farm accident near Athlone.

It is believed she was attacked by a bull on her farm in Drumraney at around 9.30am this morning.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar for a post mortem examination.
