'Love Ulster' parade permission meeting
A group supporting Protestant victims of the troubles will meet with senior garda today to get permission for a major rally in Dublin.
Families Acting for Innocent Relatives (FAIR) held a ’Love Ulster’ parade in the capital last year which had to be abandoned after a riot broke out involving fringe republicans.
Representatives of the group are to meet in Government Buildings this morning with the Assistant Garda commissioner.
FAIR’S Willie Frazer said they were hoping to organise a parade/rally in the capital for early August.
A spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin said it would oppose the group’s plans.
