Ireland's largest children's hospital has reportedly been told to lay off around 160 staff members in order to avoid a multi-million euro funding deficit.

Reports this morning say the HSE has warned Crumlin Hospital that its staff levels are well above the officially approved quota and it is facing a €16m deficit unless it reduces spending.
