Green Party hits out at lack of decentralisation policies
The Green Party is challenging other political parties to spell out where they stand on decentralisation.
The party claims that the Government's policy on the issue has been inefficient and wasteful.
But the Greens are concerned that other opposition parties don't have a coherent alternative policy.
Green Party Finance spokesperson Dan Boyle said: "I'm hearing candidates from Fine Gael and Labour say that they want particular government departments and state agencies located in their town - in fact supporting the Fianna Fáil/PD policy.
"Until we get a bit of clarity on this during the campaign itself - whatever government is formed needs to be clear on policies like decentralisation."
