RSA appeals to parents to be vigilant for Bank Holiday weekend
The Road Safety Authority is making a special appeal to parents this weekend to be careful about loaning their cars to their children.
The plea comes as part of their 'Slow Down and Expect the Unexpected' campaign for the long weekend.
Twenty-seven lives have been lost on the roads over the May Bank Holiday Weekend in the past five years.
Noel Brett of the Road Safety Authority said parents need to be more aware of what journeys their children are making by car.
