Planning granted for second 120m tower in Dublin's docks

The Dublin Docklands Development Authority has granted planning permission for the construction of a second 120-metre tower as part of the redevelopment of the area.

The WatchTower is being planned for the northside of the docks area and will form part of Harry Crosbie's Point Village development.

It will be topped by a brasserie, a bar and a viewing deck, and will also include offices and luxury apartments.

The structure is due to be built across the river from the U2 Tower and the developers say the two buildings will form "a maritime gateway to the city of Dublin".
