Govt urged to clarify stance on Lebanon deployment

The Green Party is calling on the Government to clarify whether it would allow Irish soldiers to get involved in disarming Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon.

The United Nations is still discussing the deployment of a peacekeeping force in the south of the country and whether that force should be asked to disarm the Islamic militant group.
