The Irish Government is calling for both sides in the current Middle East conflict to be punished for targeting civilians in a flagrant breach of international law.

Junior Minister Conor Lenihan, who has responsibility for development and human rights, said today that he was angered by the actions of both sides in the conflict, which has already claimed hundreds of innocent lives over the past 24 days.
