Great Southern Hotels staff to ballot on strike
Staff at the Great Southern Hotels will ballot on industrial action next week.
Workers are aggrieved by the State's decision to sell-off the hotel chain as part of the Aer Lingus privatisation plan.
Up to 700 SIPTU members can take part in the ballot. If they vote in favour of action, it could begin as early as July 21.
The issue of pensions, pay and conditions are the most contentious.
The Labour Court is expected to intervene in the dispute next week.
