Man further remanded after Limerick seizure
A 35-year-old man charged in connection with a massive drugs and firearms seizure in Limerick last week has been further remanded in custody.
Heroin and cocaine worth over €1m and a number of high-powered weapons and ammunition were seized by gardaí following a series of raids in Limerick city a week ago.
Appearing before Limerick District Court today was Aidan Radmall (aged 35) Clonile, Old Cratloe Road, Limerick, who is facing a total of 11 separate charges arising from the seizures.
Five of the charges are drug-related offences while six of the charges relate to possession of ammunition and firearms.
The 35-year-old is charged with two counts of possession of diamorphine, otherwise known as heroin, and two counts of possession of amphetamine with intent for sale or supply at 16 Cecil Street, Limerick, on June 29 last.
A fifth charge, under Section 15a of the Drugs Act, relates to possession of drugs exceeding €15,000 in value.
Mr Radmall is also charged with four separate firearms offences, which include possession of a Glock Pistol, a Scorpion Machine Pistol, a sub-machine gun and a stun gun for an unlawful purpose at 16 Cecil Street, Limerick, on June 29 last.
He is further charged with two counts of possession of ammunition on the same date.
No bail application was made at Limerick District Court today, where Judge Tom O'Donnnell remanded the accused in continued custody until July 13 next.
