Drugs trial man may undergo amputations

The Irish victim of a botched drugs trial in London last month has been told he may now lose his fingers and toes.

Ryan Wilson Flannagan was one of six men who were hospitalised after undergoing trials for German medical company Tegenero.

Doctors for the 20-year-old have said they fear his feet may have to be amputated due to serious swelling.

They also predicted that he could be in hospital for another six months.
