Five arrested in PSNI crackdown on north Belfast feud
Police in the North have arrested five people during raids targeting two families involved in a long-running feud in the Ballymurphy area of north Belfast.
The five were arrested during an operation in the Whitecliff Parade area yesterday that the PSNI said was mounted in a search for petrol bombs.
Two were later released on police bail, while the other three were released pending instructions from the Public Prosecutor's Office.
One of the houses targeted in yesterday's raids was the home of 39-year-old Gerard Devlin, who was stabbed to death last month as part of the long-running feud.
Four people have already been charged with his murder, which sparked a spate of tit-for-tat arson attacks and assaults by both sides in the bitter dispute.
