Man arrested after woman dies in Kildare assault

Gardai have arrested a 49-year-old man following the fatal stabbing of a woman in Naas, Co Kildare, early this morning.

Gardaí have arrested a 49-year-old man following the fatal stabbing of a woman in Naas, Co Kildare, early this morning.

The 46-year-old victim was found lying on the town's Main Street just after 12.30am by gardaí responding to reports of a fight.
