Six quizzed over loyalist feud gun deaths
Six men were being questioned today about a deepening loyalist paramilitary feud in Belfast.
They were detained by detectives investigating the shooting war between the Ulster Volunteer Force and the Loyalist Volunteer Force that has left three men dead.
The arrests came during searches of 14 homes, nearly all in North Belfast where the violence has been at its worst.
Some of the men are being questioned about the murder of Stephen Paul, the latest victim of the bitter rift between the rival terror factions.
Mr Paul, 28, was gunned down outside his home off Belfast’s Crumlin Road on Saturday.
It is believed he was associated with the LVF.
