Cavan hospital's surgery unit 'dysfunctional'

The surgery unit of Cavan General Hospital is in a "dysfunctional state", according to a report drawn up following an inspection by the Royal College of Surgeons last month.

The inspection was arranged following a litany of adverse clinical incidents in the surgical unit.
