A protest by a group of Labour Party politicians is taking place outside the Mater Hospital, in Dublin, over the current crisis in the country's Accident and Emergency units.

TDs and councillors from the party, representing North Dublin, have called for cutbacks and bed closures to be reversed, in order to alleviate the problems at hospitals.
