The Mahon Tribunal has ruled that the taxpayer should pay the majority of expenses incurred by former government press secretary PJ Mara in relation to his appearances at the tribunal.

The tribunal ruled today that the State should pay all costs incurred by Mr Mara except those relating to a discovery order made in December 2000.
