A German woman, who went missing on Slieve Mór on Achill Island, is safe and well.

A German woman, who went missing on Slieve Mór on Achill Island, is safe and well.

The 50-year-old set out at 2pm yesterday afternoon and was forced to spend a night on the mountain in adverse weather conditions.

The woman is a regular visitor to the area.
