McAleese attends funeral of Ronald Reagan

President Mary McAleese is due to attend the funeral of former US President Ronald Reagan in Washington today.

Mrs McAleese is one of a large number of world leaders due to attend the funeral of the 40th US President, who died on Saturday at the age of 93.

Mr Reagan’s ancestors emigrated to the United States from Ballyporeen, Co Tipperary, in the mid-19th century.
