Minister concerned about impact of postal dispute

Communications Minister Dermot Ahern has expressed his concern about the potential impact of the dispute between An Post and the workers at its Dublin mail centre.

The company has suspended more than 300 of the employees after they refused to operate new sorting machinery that they said was introduced without prior consultation.
