LUAS tram to undergo first full trial run today

One of the trams due to be used on Dublin’s new LUAS system is due to undergo its first complete trial run on the Sandyford line later today.

One of the trams due to be used on Dublin’s new LUAS system is due to undergo its first complete trial run on the Sandyford line later today.

Transport Minister Seamus Brennan will be at the terminus in St Stephen’s Green to greet the arrival of the tram.

The event was originally planned for last Thursday, but was postponed following the Madrid bombings.

The Sandyford to St Stephen’s Green LUAS line is due to open to the public at the end of June.
