Vodafone may face fines for failing to adequately dispose of documents containing customers’ personal information, reports today claimed.

The documents in question were thrown out during renovations at a former mobile phone retail outlet in Dublin’s College Green.

Reports said Vodafone could be fined €100,000 if prosecuted under the Data Protection Act in connection with the incident.
