Gardaí are asking for the public’s help in trying to identify the body of a man which was discovered in the Grand Canal in Dublin this morning.

Gardaí are asking for the public’s help in trying to identify the body of a man which was discovered in the Grand Canal in Dublin this morning.

The man, in his 50s, was found in the canal at Clanbrassil Street Upper, close to Harolds Cross, at 9am.

The dead man is described as a white male, 5’8” to 5’9” in height, of average build with slightly receding grey hair.

He was dressed in black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with white stripes, a black anorak and black leather shoes.

Anyone with information should contact gardaí at Kevin Street.
