Gun and ammo discovered in Co Limerick

Limerick gardaí have recovered a handgun and 56 rounds of ammunition.

It is part of their crackdown on organised crime in the city.

The weapons were found south-side and gardaí believe they may be linked to subversive groups.

In the last week, six weapons have been recovered in Limerick as well as two hauls of ammunition.

Meanwhile, gardaí in Mayorstone have arrested a man in connection with the on-going feud in Limerick.
