Dun Laoghaire area in anti-bin charge protest
Anti-bin tax campaigners are marching in Dun Laoghaire today protesting Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Co Council's decision to stop collections from households that have not paid bin charges.
Campaigners say the county council deliberately targeted affluent areas where they believe their campaign is poorly organised.
Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown council had suspended its non-collection policy after they said they couldn't keep up with payments from residents.
But Socialist Workers Party member Richard Boyd Barret says resistance in the area remains strong.
