Suspect package found outside home of DPP member

Police in the North have evacuated a number of houses in Sion Mills, Co Tyrone, following the discovery of a suspect package outside the home of a member of a local District Policing Partnership.

The device was believed to have been left at the home of an independent female member of the Strabane DPP.

Three members of the local DPPs in the North have resigned after dissident republicans issued death threats against all Catholics and nationalists co-operating with the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
