Child abuse rep unhappy with protection service
The founder of the Survivors of Child Abuse John Kelly, has reacted angrily at the announcement by the Dublin Archdiocese that a new Child Protection Service is to be in place.
The office will be fully operational by the end of September and will be in charge of implementation of the Catholic Church's revised national child protection guidelines.
The setting up of the office is in part a response to victims of clerical abuse.
Mr Kelly however has stated that he is not welcoming the church's new service.
