Lawlor claim denied by property developer
A property developer has told the Planning Tribunal in Dublin that evidence given by former Fianna Fail TD Liam Lawlor earlier this week was totally untrue.
Mr Lawlor told the tribunal that a €100,000 cheque he received from Michael Whelan three years ago was a fee for helping Mr Whelan find property in London.
However, in evidence today. Mr Whelan said the money was part payment for an acre of land attached to Mr Lawlor's home in Lucan. He said the former TD never did any work for him and never searched for property on his behalf.
