A consultant psychiatrist at the Central Mental Hospital has directly contradicted the diagnosis of two consultant psychiatrists called by the defence in the trial of a father accused of the murder of his 20-month-old son.

Two consultant psychiatrists, one based in London, the other the former clinical director of St Vincents Hospital, Fairview, told the trial of Yusif Ali Abdi yesterday that he was suffering from from schizophrenia at the time of the killing.
