Gardaí name taxi driver killed in accident

Gardai have named the taxi driver killed earlier today in a collision in Dublin.

Gardai have named the taxi driver killed earlier today in a collision in Dublin.

He was 30-year-old Robert McGowan, from Galtymore Road, Drimnagh in Dublin.

He died when his vehicle collided with a suspected stolen car near the centre of Dublin early today.

Three men in the second vehicle were injured, and one of them was said to be critically ill in hospital.

The accident happened on Dublin’s North Circular Road. Mr McGowan was alone in his car at the time.
