Call for new body to protect waterways

A water-quality monitoring agency has recommended that a special management group be set up to protect Irish waterways.

The Three Rivers Project has released a three year, €6m report today indicating that while water quality has improved in the Boyne and stabilised in the Liffey, it has declined in the Suir.
