Omagh relatives meet with Cowen

Relatives of the Omagh bomb victims are currently meeting the Minister for Foreign Affairs in Dublin over allegations of a Government deal with the Real IRA.

Relatives of the Omagh bomb victims are currently meeting the Minister for Foreign Affairs in Dublin over allegations of a Government deal with the Real IRA.

The meeting has been prompted by allegations by a now-suspended Garda detective that gardai had some pre-warning ahead of the atrocity.

Speaking before entering the meeting, spokesman Michael Gallagher said they have a number of questions for the Minister.

"We have some concerns around the John Whyte allegations, as in the fact than an independent investigation is not set up."
