The people of Ireland have accepted the Nice Treaty at the second time of asking.

The people of Ireland have accepted the Nice Treaty at the second time of asking.

All constituencies voted for the treaty which was rejected by the electorate last year.

Figures show that 62.92% voted 'Yes' with 37.08% rejecting the treaty.

The Government is expected to officially announce the result at around 4.30pm.

The final constituencies to post their results were:

Mayo - Y 58.46% N 41.54%

Cork North West - Y 63.8% N 36.2%

Cork East - Y 62% N 38%

Cork South West - Y 62% N 38%
