De Brun will implement Inquiry recommendations
The North’s Health Minister, Bairbre de Brun, has announced that she will fully implement the recommendations of the Human Organs Inquiry, which were published today.
The Human Organs inquiry was established in March last year after revelations that body parts were being kept by hospitals and universities without the knowledge of the bereaved families.
Ms de Brun said it is important to support the rights and expectations of the bereaved families.
She added that human organs should never be taken or kept without the knowledge and approval of relatives.
