Party leaders prepare for televised debate

Opposition leader Michael Noonan was today preparing to square up to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern in a televised debate.

With just three days left in the election campaign, Mr Noonan was hoping his showdown with Mr Ahern will prevent Fianna Fáil from achieving a single party government.
