Noonan denies party is suffering
Fine Gael leader Michael Noonan has denied that his party is suffering in this year’s general elections campaign.
Speaking in Dublin, Mr Noonan said: “I think Fianna Fail have a better propaganda machine, but on the ground where it counts and in discussing the issues which are relevant to the people, the Fine Gael messages are getting through.
"The Fine Gael campaign is going very strongly and I have met nobody around the country who doesn’t believe that the Fine Gael campaign is going very well indeed.”
