Labour vows to honour six key pledges
Labour Party leader Ruairi Quinn has vowed that, should his party be elected to Government, it’s six key election pledges will become a reality.
Mr Quinn said he would not enter a coalition with any other party unless these pledges are adopted into the programme for Government.
He also said he believes a change of Government is overdue.
"There should be an entirely new administration led, in effect, by Labour Party policy," Mr Quinn said. We’re looking for a mandate for that and that’s why we are standing on our own as an independent party."
