O’Donoghue repeats denial of wrongdoing
Justice Minister John O’Donoghue has repeated that he did nothing wrong in relation to the Patrick Naughton rape case in Co Galway.
Mr O’Donoghue has denied Opposition accusations that he colluded to interfere in the case and that he deliberately hid his involvement in the controversy earlier this week.
"Insofar as I am aware, I have put into the public domain all of the documentation available to me," he said.
"The Opposition now implicitly accept, by their change of direction, that I certainly was not guilty of collusion, that I certainly was not guilty of interfering with the judiciary.
"Now they seek to claim that I am guilty of concealment. They were wrong the first time and they’re wrong the second time," added Mr O'Donoghue
