The aviation regulator has sanctioned a rise in airport charges for the coming 12 months, with charges at Dublin, Cork and Shannon set at £5.29 per passenger.

The aviation regulator has sanctioned a rise in airport charges for the coming 12 months, with charges at Dublin, Cork and Shannon set at £5.29 per passenger.

The regulator also ordered Aer Rianta, the company which levies the charges, to reduce its spending from £998m to £272m to improve efficiency.
