Loyalists blamed for pipe bomb attack
The RUC are blaming dissident Loyalists for a pipe bomb attack on a Catholic
home in Armoy, Co Antrim and have confirmed that they consider the attack
to be sectarian motivated.
An RUC spokesman said that a forensic examination of the two devices that were hurled at the house has confirmed the suspicion that they were the same the kind used by Loyalists in the past.
One of the bombs exploded in a back yard while the second broke through the window by failed to detonate.
The family, including three children, all escaped the attack without any injury.
