The last full day of campaigning on the referendum on the Nice Treaty gets underway as the two sides attempt to win over any undecided voters ahead of tomorrow's vote.

There will be a media blackout imposed on the referendum from 8am today so the opposing teams must now depending on convincing the undecided voters by meeting with them face-to-face.

The latest argument between the two camps centres on the relationship between the Treaty and the European Charter of Fundamental Rights.

MEP for the Connacht-Ulster constituency, Dana Rosemary Scallon, said that by approving the Treaty the Irish people could pave the way for abortion, cloning and euthanasia to be legalised here.

However, the Government has rejected these allegations and Minister for the Marine, Frank Fahey said Ms Scallon was just scare mongering.
