Dana joins anti-Nice campaign

The Independent MEP for the Connacht-Ulster region, Dana Rosemary Scallon, says that the Irish peoples are being pushed into voting to approve the Nice Treaty.

Ms Scallon says that by agreeing to Nice we will adopt the European Charter for Human Rights, which has never been debated in this country and which does not protect the rights of the unborn.

By approving of the Nice Treaty, she believes that the Irish people will open the door for abortion to be legalised in Ireland and allow other controversial issues such as cloning and euthanasia.
