Euro judges condemn IRA killings
Ten IRA men shot dead by British troops and the RUC in Northern Ireland had their human rights violated, judges in Europe have ruled.
Each of the victims' families, including one who prompted claims that security forces were operating a shoot-to-kill policy in the Province, have been awarded ÂŁ10,000 compensation.
In four separate cases considered by the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, involving a total of 12 deaths, procedural violation of Article 2 of the Human Rights Convention guaranteeing a right to life was found.
