North's suspect FMD case result expected soon

It is expected to be revealed at about 11am whether a cow in Co Tyrone has tested positive for foot-and-mouth disease.

41 days after the North's only case of the disease, in Co Armagh confirmation of a second outbreak would prove disastrous for the agriculture industry on the island.

The North's Agriculture Minister, Brid Rogers says although it is a "hot" suspect, she remains hopeful the tests will prove negative.
