Movement restrictions eased in the North
The Department of Agriculture in the North has confirmed that restrictions on the movement of livestock will be eased from Monday.
Farmers who have been banned from transporting animals will now be able to apply for a licence to move cattle, sheep and goats, but only on welfare grounds.
Restrictions on the movement of horses will also be relaxed. Agriculture Minister Brid Rodgers said she is keeping other restrictions, introduced after the foot and mouth outbreak in south Armagh, under daily review.
