Garda industrial action: Overtime bill hits €7.2m in just 10 Garda divisions
The amount was disclosed in response to a parliamentary question submitted by Independent TD Mattie McGrath, who sought the totals for his native Tipperary, along with counties Clare, Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Offaly, and Waterford.
In her reply to Mr McGrath, Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald said it was not possible to give a county-by-county breakdown as Garda overtime was recorded and analysed on a divisional basis.
