More than 40% of water charges for 2015 remain unpaid

More than 40% of all water charges billed last year remain unpaid, according to new figures published by Irish Water.

The latest annual financial statement by the beleaguered utility company provides fresh information about the scale of the movement to boycott water charges in its first full year of operations.

Irish Water’s accounts show €111m out of €255.2m worth of bills for water charges issued last year had not been paid by the end of 2015.
