Man held over fatal shooting in Cork

A man was still being questioned last night by gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of another man in a house in Cork City in April.

The 44-year-old, arrested in the Youghal area of East Cork at around 8am yesterday, was taken to Togher Garda Station for questioning about the death of Diarmuid Byrne, 44, at his home in Ballyphehane on the southside of the city, five weeks ago.
