Arresting ‘slow down’ Garda photo creates social media traffic

The message may be deadly serious but a photograph used by the Garda to promote today’s Slow Down Day prompted a few smiles.

Using the slogan Thumbs Up for Slow Down, members of the public were asked to post photos on social media with their thumbs up in support of the campaign.

Gardaí provided a selection of their own to get the ball rolling and this “choose your own speed limit” one proved an arresting image.
