Gardaí release mother of girl allegedly abused at drink parties

The mother of a child who was allegedly subjected to five years of systematic rape and sexual assault at “drinking parties” was released from custody yesterday.

The woman was the last of seven people freed after they were arrested on Tuesday morning following a six-month Garda investigation.

Detectives are now studying the interviews of each of the seven suspects and will check their accounts with that of the girl.
